Common questions
How much does it cost?
It depends on the work, which is why we quote every project up front after the free call. Defined projects like automations and custom builds are usually quoted at a fixed price. Contract development and tech leadership are billed hourly or on a monthly retainer. You'll know the cost before you commit to anything.
How long does a typical project take?
Many automations are done within a week or two. Custom software takes longer and is delivered in stages, so you see progress early. Your plan includes a timeline.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You know your business; we handle the technology. We explain things in plain language and train your team on anything we set up.
Do you provide general IT support?
No. We don't run help desks or manage computers, printers, or networks. We focus on building software, automation, and AI. If you have an IT provider, we work alongside them, and if you need one, we're happy to refer you.
Can we hire you on contract to work with our team?
Yes. We take on contract development for businesses, agencies, and in-house teams, either owning a defined piece of work or working inside your codebase and process. Engagements can run for a few weeks or ongoing.
What tools do you work with?
Most of the common ones: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify, HubSpot, Jobber, and many more. If a tool has an API or an export, we can usually connect it.
Is our data safe?
We use your accounts wherever possible, follow least-access practices, and never use your data for anything beyond your project. When we set up AI tools, we choose options that don't train on your information.
Do you only work with local businesses?
We're based in the Hamilton and GTA area and can meet on-site there. Most of our work is done remotely, so we work with businesses across Ontario and beyond.
What happens after the project is done?
You get the code, documentation, and a handover. Many clients keep us on a maintenance plan for updates, fixes, and new features, but you're never locked in.
